Sun v City

As luck would have it my kids have 2 different spring breaks so I decided to take one for the team and go on 2 spring breaks.

Up first Florida
my girlfriend and I are taking our 7 year olds for a week of fun in the sun

Packing for this trip is pretty standard
gotta save my skin

heard this book is SO GOOD

I will let these cuties speak for themselves

you cannot go to Florida without at least 1 Lilly item

and for my when I return
this stuff is amazing!!

Spring Break 2 deserves a post all on its own....
and the packing....completely different!!!

  1. I just purchased those exact same KS shoes in platinum - so cute!!!! They are all packed for my getaway!

On a side note, I know you graduated from Xavier. JP Macura is from my town and graduated from the same HS my son attends. Two years ago, he (pretty much) single handily won the AA basketball title for the school. It was a big upset! Anyway, I don't know if you are a big Xavier BB fan, but we've had a lot of fun watching him play on tv.

I agree with you 100% about Steven Avery. It actually makes my blood boil!

Have fun on BOTH of your trips. Thanks for the book recommendation. I'm going to download it now!

    Take care!

  3. Hey, Jill, I don't blog anymore. I felt it was consuming way too much of my time.

Other than being an "empty nester" soon (my son graduates from HS in June), nothing much in my life has changed. I continue to enjoy the same things (family, friends, wine, shopping, cooking, home decor, etc), but I do have one new LOVE - hot vinyasa yoga. I'm completely obsessed.

I am rooting for Xavier too. JP is so much fun to watch and I'd love to see him and the team go all the way!

It sounds like things are going well for you and your family - a driver now, too. That's a whole NEW kind of stress? Lord have mercy (My son totaled his car last summer on the freeway. That phone call shakes you to the core! Thank goodness for airbags!).

I will try to comment more on your blog. :) Promise.

    Anything new in your life?

    1. My oldest has 2 years until he leaves for college, I have such mixed feeling already. I am so excited for him because I know what he has in store but I am sad for myself because I will really really miss him!! I get sick to my stomach when I really think about him driving, I just have to let him go and not thing about it. I cannot image that phone call. Thank God your son is OK. I swear I think the last time you blogged you were putting in a pool right??

  4. Oh, my, yes, we did put in a pool...4 years ago! Has it really been that long since I blogged? Time really does fly.

I hope you had the best time in Paris.

Looking forward to more of your great posts, fashion tips, etc.

  5. Hey, quick question...

We're thinking about taking a 3-day "getaway" vay-cay to Sarasota and have been considering the Ritz.

Would you recommend it??? Did you love it???

We're also considering the Ritz in Naples, too.
